About the Program
A Hands-On Introduction to AI for Curious Kids
Our AI Tutoring is built for primary and middle school students who are new to artificial intelligence. No coding background, no prior experience needed. Each session starts where your child is, then moves at a pace that fits how they learn.

Starts where your child is
No prerequisites and no pressure. Tutors meet each learner at their level and adjust the pace to match how they think and learn best.

Transparency for parents
Tutors follow a curriculum that prioritises safe AI use, critical thinking, and creative output. You'll see the projects your child builds, the tools they used to build them, and the questions they asked along the way.

Kids do, not just watch
They'll train their own image classifier, write prompts that generate stories and pictures, and finish with a 3D model they designed and painted themselves. Every block ends with something they made.
The tools your child will use
We use a small, deliberate set of tools. Each one is browser-based, made for learners, and approved for classroom use.
HeyOtto
MAIN LLM
The main large language model in the program. It generates text and images, and tutors set up accounts using safe usernames so kids never share personal data. This is where your child writes their first prompts and sees how detail changes the result.
Teachable Machine
BY GOOGLE
Lets students train their own image classifier in minutes. They build a dataset, see what happens when it's biased, and watch the model fail or succeed in real time.
Quick, Draw! & Autodraw
BY GOOGLE
One asks your child to sketch against the clock while an AI guesses what it is. The other turns rough drawings into clean illustrations. Both make pattern recognition something a kid can feel rather than just hear about.
Tripo3D
3D MAGIC
Where the creative work converges. Students upload a drawing, and the AI generates a 3D model from it. The strongest models go to a 3D printer, and kids finish them by painting them in class.
Seesaw
PORTFOLIO
Runs quietly in the background as a portfolio. Drawings, training screenshots, prompts, and notes are saved to a personal account that tutors and parents can review at any time.
We chose these tools because they don't ask kids for personal information, they produce work your child can hold or revisit, and they teach concepts that map directly onto how real AI systems behave.

— What your child will learn

Term 1: AI Foundations, Generative Art & 3D Creations
In Term 1, students go from curious computer users to safe, responsible AI creators. They explore how AI processes information, master prompt engineering, and design a custom AI character that we 3D print and mail home.
Term 2: Natural Language, Emotional AI & Bioacoustics
Term 2 dives deeper into human-computer interaction, natural language processing, audio classification, and using AI for real-world environmental solutions.

Reviews
What children and parents say about our AI tutoring
"My son wanted to start creating with AI, but it was a little frustrating for him to learn it since YouTube videos are for adults mostly. But luckily, we found Building Imagination. After a few sessions, Ollie started to create consistent illustrations for his comic book. He can't wait for his next weekly session."

Rachel S.
Parent of Petter, 12 years old
"My daughter made a 3D model from scratch using one of the tools and was so pleased with herself. It wasn't just clicking buttons either, she could tell me why she'd written the prompt the way she did. Nice to see her making something rather than just consuming"

Sarah M.
Parent of Ella, 10 years old
"Fantastic experience, I really see how I have grown thanks to my tutor. My understanding of how LLM systems work, how to spot hallucinations, and prompt engineering has significantly improved. All of this helped me with managing my YouTube channel about video games, as I am working more effectively now."
