About the Program

Build With Virtual Reality in a 12-Week Group Course

At Building Imagination, we teach kids how to master VR and 3D creation. Through our practical 12-week online course, students don't just explore virtual worlds; they model, code, and animate them from scratch, and can even step inside their creations in virtual reality.

Why We Use Delightex

We use Delightex because it is the absolute gold standard for introducing children to the world of virtual reality creation. Formerly known as CoSpaces Edu, Delightex is an award winning educational platform designed specifically to turn kids from passive tech consumers into active digital creators. It completely removes the complex text heavy coding barriers of professional game development engines while keeping all the magic.

Through its intuitive drag and drop building tools, students can instantly construct rich three dimensional environments, import multimedia, and bring their worlds to life. As they progress, they will use its visual block coding language to program animations, trigger interactive events, and craft logic for games or simulations. It is the perfect, child friendly sandbox that teaches genuine computer science, design thinking, and spatial reasoning, allowing students to build complex virtual worlds and step directly inside them using a VR headset.

What We Teach and How It Works

From Empty Space to Interactive VR World

Our virtual reality course is built around three core pillars. Here is exactly what your child will learn and how they will do it within the software

1

3D Modeling & World Building

Students learn how to construct immersive spaces from scratch. They will master spatial physics by dragging, dropping, and precisely positioning 3D objects, building materials, and animated characters onto the digital canvas. They will learn how to manipulate the X, Y, and Z axes to create depth, adjust lighting, and scale environments so that they feel natural and visually impressive when viewed inside a VR headset.

2

Visual Block Coding

To make their worlds truly interactive, students will use a visual, block based coding language within the platform. They will learn fundamental computer science concepts like variables, loops, and "if/then" conditional statements. Instead of typing lines of text, they will snap code blocks together to program object triggers, animate characters, create scoring systems, and script pathfinding behaviors for the elements in their world.

3

Immersive Game Design

This is where everything comes together into a cohesive experience. Students learn the mechanics of user experience (UX) design for virtual spaces. They will plan camera angles, design interactive puzzles, set up teleportation points, and structure player progression. They will learn how to think like game developers, analysing how a player moves through their creation and troubleshooting bugs to make their virtual experience engaging and fun to play.

Reviews

What children and parents say about our VR tutoring

"My son wanted to start creating with AI, but it was a little frustrating for him to learn it since YouTube videos are for adults mostly. But luckily, we found Building Imagination. After a few sessions, Ollie started to create consistent illustrations for his comic book. He can't wait for his next weekly session."

Parent of Petter, 12 years old

"My daughter made a 3D model from scratch using one of the tools and was so pleased with herself. It wasn't just clicking buttons either, she could tell me why she'd written the prompt the way she did. Nice to see her making something rather than just consuming"

Parent of Ella, 10 years old

"Fantastic experience, I really see how I have grown thanks to my tutor. My understanding of how LLM systems work, how to spot hallucinations, and prompt engineering has significantly improved. All of this helped me with managing my YouTube channel about video games, as I am working more effectively now."
